Modern Day Shire

Posted Saturday, May 27th, 2006

I saw this hiking over a hill in Chino Hills, California. A perfect little village nestled at the bottom of the hills just as the sun was setting. This was my second shot. The first one had too much flare to be usable. The hills behind these houses are probably destined to become shopping centers or more homes. You might recognize the first hill with the dirt road from two shots back.

Wow, this is really quite nice. I hear you about that great D70 flare. I’ve been playing with the EV settings, going down to -0.7 and getting some nice results. I’m thinking more in the sense that you shoot a couple images that you sandwitch in photoshop. This image is so lovely - what a fabulous feel the light gives. RIght on.
