Torch
Posted Sunday, June 11th, 2006
Not sure how to categorize this one. I met this man making glass ornaments in a shopping center. This is the view of his torch through glasses he was wearing that filtered out all of the red and orange flames so that he could see what he was working on. He let me hold them up to the lens while he put the glass under the flame. No alterations except for a slight curves adjustment and resized.

Have not seen a glassworker for years. What I really like about the shot (aside from the huge blast of blue) is the onlooker at the back.

Very very nice. I remember the first time I saw a man working with glass when I was 9.
